Position Summary
This position will serve as Associate Director in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR) Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ODEI). The position is responsible for implementing, facilitating, and supporting diversity and inclusion training efforts in the ODEI. Will create and implement programming for faculty, staff, and student professional development, and structural and cultural diversity and equity initiatives in the college. Will also advise and support currently enrolled graduate students in CANR and represent graduate student concerns. Will collect and analyze data on diversity and inclusion efforts within CANR departments to develop best practices for an inclusive CANR. Will represent CANR to industry and higher education organizations as part of diverse recruitment strategies. Will be part of the CANR DEI Committee. Will work to develop and produce DEI content in ODEI and CANR newsletters, magazines and social media. Will represent the Associate Dean for DEI when needed. Will work with the Associate Dean for DEI in the development of evaluations and assessment of college climate and programs and initiatives that focus on DEI. This position is a one-year, fixed-term position, renewable annually based on funding and satisfactory performance.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in any field of agriculture and natural resources, education, business, business administration, sociology, communications, or agribusiness. Minimum of three years’ experience in program or project development and coordination, preferably in a higher education setting.
Desired Qualifications
Master’s degree preferred. Three years’ experience working in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Experience facilitating, developing, and conducting presentations related to DEI. Knowledge of higher education organizations.
