Student interns will be provided practical on-the-job training experience related to wildlife conservation, research and management. The benefit of this position is to recruit and train potential employees seeking careers in wildlife conservation and develop a great knowledge base of wildlife in Oregon and are expected to gain the ability to develop and refine academic and professional goals as well as understand land and public access management of a wildlife area and the structure and operation of a natural resources agency.
Qualifications: You must be a student, currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in a college or university, preferably in a biological/ecological sciences related field, during the internship. (If you have graduated or will be graduating by June 2021, you are not eligible for these internship opportunities); AND you must submit a Cover Letter/Letter of Interest (no more than 1 page) with your application that includes 1) your major course of study, 2) your career interests, 3) what you would like to learn from this internship opportunity and 4) why you are choosing ODFW for your internship.
Preference for: Students who are currently pursuing a biological/ecological sciences related degree and a review of cover letters/letters of interest.
ODFW is unable to support VISA sponsorships.
Salary: $15.20/hr.
