Southwest Conservation Corps has opened up our applications for crew members for the 2021 season in both Durango and Salida, CO. We have nine different positions with multiple openings under each. All of these crews will start towards the end of May and will run through the end of October, except for the summer ones, which end in early August.
We are excited to be offering a Leaders of Color crew for the first year out of our Salida office! This crew provides an open and supportive space where BIPOC members work with, learn from, and grow alongside one another as members gain trainings and certifications in chainsaw, crosscut, rigging, technical rock work, and trail construction and design. The crew will also emphasize leadership and professional development
Some general information about all crews
Qualifications:
* To qualify, you must be between the ages of 18 and 30
* Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
* A US citizen that has received (or on track to receive) a high school diploma or GED
* All offers of employment are conditional upon completion of an acceptable check of the National Sex Offender Public Registry and federal criminal background check.
