EEB’s graduate students are central to the department’s research mission. Their thesis and dissertation work is designed not just as part of their training to become independent scientists, but to advance knowledge within the discipline. Students also play a vital role in funding research within the department, both by obtaining grants to fund their own research and through collaborations with postdocs and faculty to develop larger research programs. These contributions are illustrated by the grants they obtain, the publications they produce, and the awards they receive. For more information, follow these links:

Each year, the EEB Graduate Student Association also organizes a full day Graduate Research Symposium where students come together with the rest of the department to present their work.
